Gifts for Family

My sister and niece are arriving for a short visit any moment.  I needed a gift for both and after seeing so many beautiful ones on Exuberant Color this last week, I was inspired to make a few.  This is what I came up with:

My niece is getting this one with the butterflies and dragonflies.  The fabric is so gorgeous, I decided to use it for the whole cover.

My sister is getting this more muted one.  I pulled the paisley fabric from my stash and built the rest of the colors around it.  Actually, all the fabric is from my stash!  Love being able to use some of my fabrics for gifts like these!

I made a couple of quick fabric gift bags to wrap them, too.  I have so much holiday fabric from years past, that I'll be making these gift bags for every gift instead of wrapping paper for some time to come!

I was one of the featured projects on Quiltstory's Fabric Tuesday today for my placemats from last week!  How awesome is that?!  Be sure to check out this week's projects too!

  2. Love my gorgeous new journal cover. My old journal will be done in about 10 pages...can't wait to begin using the new one! It reminds me of that gorgeous wall hanging you did for me when I got my first corporate job to help forget I was in a cubicle 9 hours/day. Thanks Sis!
